Junior Nationals Open & Girls Chess Championships 2022
The Junior Nationals Open &
Girls Chess Championships took place from 8th-11th September. The tournament
was placed at Berrewaerts Royal Primary College, Ampitiya. The number
of rounds for the event were eight. The event consisted of both an Open
category and Girls’ category. The time control for the event was
a standard of 90 minutes with an increment of 30 seconds per move. Any
player below 20 was eligible for the event. The top three places won cash
prizes. Total of 450 players were compete in both event.
