| The
Inaugural National Senior Chess Championship 2014 will be held from 15th
to 19th November in Colombo. The event is open for any senior player who
is above 50 by the 1st of January this year. Venue will be notified as
soon as possible. |

| There
will be 2 categories over 50 years and Over 65 year. The women also have
to play in the open section but will be counted for the Women's Championships
only. There will be 9 rounds in Swiss System. If number of players are
less than 16 only seven rounds will be played or in round robin whenever
possible. |
