Asian Amateur Chess Championship 2014

This is to inform that the Chess Federation of Sri Lanka decided to open the entries to the Asian Amateur Chess Championship for the Chess players age above 10 years. But, it will be open only for 40 participants on the 1st come 1st serve basis.

Asian Amateur and Senior Chess Championships 2014

5th to December 2014 at Citrus Hotel Waskaduwa

This is to inform you all that the National Amateur and Senior Chess Championship 2014 will be held from 5th to 12th December in CItrus Hotel Waskaduwa. So, far we have confirmation from Maldives, India, Malaysia, Brunei, Jordan, Afghanistan, Pakistan, New Zealand and UAE.

The General Eligibility for seniors is over 50 years (Boarn in 1963 or before) and for Amateur is less than 2000 rating in last two years with not having a FIDE title higher than CM/WCM.

The Eligibility for Sri Lanka players with above criteria is as in the ranking order:

1. For Seniors any player born in 1963 or before

For Amature
1. any player above 10 years, but only 40 players on 1st come 1st serve basis.

The registration and Entry fee for all local players in both events is Rs. 10,000/=.
The players has to find their own accommodation facilities. Anyone needing Hotel accommodation may contact the organizers. Entries will accept till 30th of November 2014. If you are interested you may bank the entry fee to the follwing account and send me an application with Name, Birthday, FIDE ID, FIDE Rating, CFSL ID, and your Contact to the below details with a copy of the payment Bank Slip.
