Colombo District Youth Chess Championships 2011

The Colombo District Youth Chess Championship was held from 11th to 13th March 2011 at Royal College. Colombo with a participation of over 500 Chess Players. The tournament, which is a selection event for the National Youth Chess Championship was held in 12 categories as Under 8, 10, 12, 14, 16 and 18 Years Boys and Girls. A total of 5 games played according to the Swiss System. The results is as follows;

The National Youth Chess Championships will be held from 7th to 10th April 2011 at the Public Library Auditorium. The players scored more than 3 1/2 points out of 5 are eligible to participate in the event. All selectees are expected to register for the finals before 27th of March 2011.
