Sri Lanka Schools Chess Association has been started her main chess event of 2017- Individual Chess Championships.

This is the event which select chess players for Sri Lanka Schools' Chess Players’ Pool for 2017 and upcoming Foreign events.

Schedule time table
District events-27and 28 May OR 3 and 4 June (week ends)

Finals-10 and 11 June 2017 (Galle)

All the players should apply through their school. (No private entries)
All the applications should forward before 23rd May to relevant district organizers.
Age groups are under 7,9,11,13,15,17 and 20. (From 01.01.2017)

Ratings Barriers for direct finals
In under 7,9,11 and 13 categories 1200 or above Fide Rated players will release from District events.
In under 15, 17 and 20 categories 1500 or above Fide Rated players are released. (2017 May Rating list)
