Sachini is at the Women’s World Chess Championships 2012

Sachini Ranasinghe made the Sri Lankan Chess history as being the 1st an only Chess Player to play in the World Individual Chess Championships today. She met the World Chess Champion, Hou Yifan in the 1st round and lost it was a great honour that she had to play the World Chess Champion.
The Women’s Individual Championships is held from 10th November to 3rd December 2012 at UGRA Chess Center in Khanty Mansiysk, Russia. The top 64 players from 33 countries are fighting hard in this knocked out Chess Championships. Each player will have two games with the same player in each round and in case of a tie, two rapid games, two Blitz Games and still ties a games giving Black 5 minutes and white for minutes will be played where White wins if this Game is drawn......
