Mrs. Suneetha Wijesuriya,10 times women’s National Chess Champion, Chess Olympiad Gold Medallist and the President of Lanka Chess Foundation and the Anatoly Karpov Chess Club of Russian Centre, launched two chess books as Lanka Chess Puzzles 1 and Lanka Chess Puzzles 2 recently.

This Lanka Chess Puzzles 1 contained with 200 chess puzzles as white wins in 1 move and Lanka Chess puzzles 2 contained with 200 chess puzzles as black wins in 1 move. Mrs. Wijesuriya mentioned that as we are aware the chess players like to improve their skills by finding the problems for the chess puzzles I thought to prepare these puzzles books. Also these books will help chess youngsters to improve the knowledge of end games.

Mrs. Suneetha Wijesuriya is presenting the first copies of Lanka Chess Puzzles book 1 and 2 to Mr. Gotabaya Rajapakse RWP RSP psc MSc, Secretary of the Ministry of Defence at Defence Services College, Colombo. Major General Siri Ranaweera, Director of Defence Services College and Mr. Pramuditha Wickramasinghe, Principal are also in the picture.
