A very successful chess coaching camp was organized by Rathnavali Balika Vidyalaya, Borella, Colombo, for the primary students and their parents at the school premises. There were about 250 participants in this program. This was conducted by Mrs. Suneetha Wijesuriya, Chess Olympiad Gold Medalist who is the President of the Anatoly Karpov Chess Club of the Russian Centre in Colombo and the Chairperson of the Lanka Chess Foundation. Mrs. Kumudunie, Principal of Rathnavali Balika Vidyalaya mentioned that they organized this program to popularize the game among the primary students and they like to organize another program for the parents of senior students. The participated parents gain lots from this program and they all were happy and thanked the principal and the organizers of this program.
