SOS Children’s Village organized a very successful Holiday Camp Programme recently at Piliyandala centre. Chess Tournament was also conducted at the same venue and Chess Olympiad Gold Medalist, WFM Mrs. Suneetha Wijesuriya, President and the Chief Chess Instructress of the Russian Centre and the Chairperson of Lanka Chess Foundation given the fullest support being their Tournament Director. There were children participated from 6 SOS Villages in Piliyandala, Nuwaraeliya, Galle, Anuradhapura, Monaragala and Jaffna.

Mr. Kapila Gunawardena, Director, National Youth Care, Mr. Anura Dissanayake, Asst. Director, Mr. W.M. Wijepala, Director Education, Mr. Gayan Bandara, Chess incharge and few other officials were present at the event.
