Chess players, Arbiters and Instructors received the Titles from the World Chess Federation (Fide)

Chess players, Arbiters and Instructors received the Titles from the World Chess Federation (Fide) according to their talents. The Chess Federation of Sri Lanka awarded the badges and certificates to the above Title holders recently at Royal College Auditorium, Colombo. At this historical event, Secretary of the Trainers Commission, Grand Master and FIDE Senior Trainer Mr. E Grivas, Secretary of TRC of Fide, Mr.Upali Gunasekera, President of the Chess Federation and the Principal of Royal College and Luxman Wijesuriya, Hony. Secretary - Chess Federation of Sri Lanka, General Secretary – Commonwealth Chess Association, President – Zone 3.2, FIDE were distributed these badges to the players who received the CM and WFM Titles, to the Arbiters IA & FA Titles and to the Instructors FI, NI and DI Titles. The Title winners received their certificates and official Identity cards also. We all must appreciate the hard work and the effort of the Sri Lankan Chess Federation has taken to promote and upgrade the Game of Chess in the country.
