This is to inform all of you that the Preliminary events of the Inter Club B and Women's Inter Club Chess Championship are to be held on 7th, 8th and 9th of January 2011 in Colombo, Kandy, Galle and Kurunegala. Except the 8 Clubs selected to the Super League and last two teams of last year Super League, all other Chess Clubs should play in any of these preliminaries. This is a 2010 event since our calendar runs till March.

The teams should comprise of 6 players and a reserve. The entry fee is Rs. 1000/- per team. Venues, Colombo event is at Royal College, Kurunegala Event at St. Anne's College, Kandy event is at Vidyartha College and Galle event will be notified on Monday. Chess Clubs or educational institutions may enter any number of teams for the preliminaries. The top three teams in each event in each province will be selected for the finals. Last year Champions of the women's competition is allowed to the finals directly while last year two losing teams from the Super league will be allowed to play the Inter Club B Finals directly.

The events will be held as Swiss System, 5 round team events.
