A chess coaching camp was organized by Ananda College Primary Chess Club for the parents of year 2 & 3 students. This camp was conducted by Chess Olympiad Gold Medalist Mrs. Suneetha Wijesuriya, the Chairperson of Lanka Chess Foundation and the President of Anatoly Karpov Chess Club of the Russian Centre. By welcoming the participants Mrs. Padmini Wijesinghe, Teacher in charge of Chess in primary section appreciated the valuable service rendered by Mrs. Wijesuriya.
Mrs. Wijesuriya mentioned that this type of chess camp will help the parents to learn chess to share the knowledge with their children to improve them and that is the reason she is happily giving her voluntarily service at this type of chess camp.
