Anatoly Karpov Chess Club celebrated their 10th Anniversary

Anatoly Karpov Chess Club of the Russian Centre celebrated their 10th Anniversary recently at the Russian Centre Auditorium. There was a chess program for the teachers in-charge of Chess of the western province schools and AKCC distributed a chess souvenir for the participants. Also there was a get together for the Media Representatives and Sponsors and Mr. Ayrat Akhmatov, Director of the Russian Centre in Colombo graced the ceremony as the Chief Guest for both the occasions. At this memorable occasion, Mrs. Suneetha Wijesuriya, president of the Anatoly Karpov Chess Club has not forgets to honour the former members of the club who brought fame to our motherland by winning International chess titles.
