| The
Asian Youth Chess Championship will be held in Tashkent, Uzbekistan from
31st March to 8th April this year. Since the National Youth Chess Championship
2017 cannot be concluded before the deadline of the event, the CFSL has
decided to hold a Special selection event for selection of the National
Youth Chess Contingent. This special event is only for selecting the National
Youth Chess Contingent for the Asian Youth Chess Championship 2017. |

| The
National Selection Committee has instructed us to include the 1st 20 rated
players in the respective age group as per the February rating list of
FIDE and top 10 players of the National Youth Championships 2016 to play
in their current age group. Only the under 8 years age groups are open
for any under 8 years players. But a request is made to enter the players
with required strength to participate internationally. |

| The
eligible players may confirm by sending an Email on or before 8th February
2017 to cfslnew@gmail.com. Late entries will not be entertained. |

| Event
will be held in Colombo on 10th, 11th and 12th of February 2017.
Entry fee of Rs. 1000/= will be charged. |

| In
addition to this, the National and Women's National top five players,
being the Current National Team members are automatically selected to
represent their respective age groups. So no need of playing them in this
selection event. But, those players should confirm their participation
in the Asian Youth Chess Championships 2017 on or before 10th February
2017 to the same mail. |
