Qualifiers
in order |

1.
Reigning Champion (Maximum 1) 2. All Active IMs and WIMs with ratings higher than 1700 (Maximum 2) 3. Five players played in the Nationals who have scored more than 50 % (on the ranking order maximum 5) 4. Women’s National Champion (Maximum 1) 5. Top 5 active players in FIDE Rating list (Maximum 5) 6. Junior National Champion (Maximum 1) 7. 1st two players in the Rated event counting 1st to 10 places in all tournaments. (1st place in a rating event will get 10 points, 2nd 9 points, 3trd 8 points etc.) Please apply with results and the events. This place is calculated only for those players request before 14th November 2014. (Maximum 2) 8. Wild card entries with ELO over 1700 (Maximum 3 on 1st Come 1st Serve Basis) |

1.
The tournament will consist of 11 rounds, round robin with 12 players. 2. The play will be governed by the FIDE Laws of Chess adopted by the Chess Federation of Sri Lanka. 3. Zero Tolerance will be applied with the draw rule of 30 Minutes. 4. Schedule and the venue will be published as soon as possible. 5. Entry fee of Rs. 2,000 will be charged from regular players and Rs. 10,000/- will be charged from a wild card player or 100 USD from Foreign players. 6. The total Prize Fund will be Rs. 100,000/-. (1st -40,000/-, 2nd -25,500/-, 3rd- 15,000/-, 4th – 10,000/- 5th & 6th Rs. 5,000/- Each). Cash awards will be shared in case of a tie. |
