The 20th Commemoration Ceremony ( 1992 – 2012 ) of winning the Gold Medal at the 30th World Chess Olympiad in 1992 in Manila by our Sri Lankan chess player Mrs. Suneetha Wijesuriya was held on Friday, the 19th October 2012, at the Moonstone Auditorium of Colombo Hilton Hotel at 2.00pm. To mark this occasion, twenty chess players who performed well in this period were felicitated by Lanka Chess Foundation, the organizer of this memorable event.
