| The 3rd Mercantile/ Government Services International Rating Blitz Chess Championships/ 2nd Rapid Championship 2017 organized by the Chess Federation of Sri Lanka, on behalf of FIDE, the World Chess Federation will be held in Colombo, Sri Lanka on 21st & 22nd of October 2017. |

| Eligibility
: Open for all Chess players working in Mercantile or Government
sector. Players should be ready to provide proof for their employment
when requested. All those who contribute to the EPF/ and those who are
in regular service of forces can only participate in the event. A team
should consist of 3 players and a reserve. (As a promotion of the event,
this year also, only 2 companies are allowed to field a team together
if they have less number of players.) |

| Prizes : Blitz Champion Team - Trophy, Gold Medals & Rs. 15,000/= 1st Runner up - Silver Medal & Rs. 10,000/= 2nd Runner up - Bronze Medal & Rs 5,000/= Best Girls (If there is only Girls and they should have a score of at least 30%)- Rs. 5,000/= Board Prizes – Rs. 1000/= each Rapid – Same as Blitz |
