Mrs. Suneetha Wijesuriya,
President of the Anatoly Karpov Chess Club and the Chairperson of Lanka Chess
Foundation of Sri Lanka conducted three chess coaching camps very successfully
at The Defence
Services College, |

There were 160 of year 2 students of this college with
their parents participated in these chess camps. By welcoming the
participants, Major General Siri Ranaweera, the Director of the Defence
Services College mentioned that we all are fortunate to have Mrs. Suneetha
Wijesuriya here for these valuable chess coaching camps since she had won ten
times Women's National Chess Championship and won the highest achievement for
Sri Lanka by winning a Gold Medal at the 30th World Chess Olympiad
in 1992. Also she was the main chess promoter in After
these Chess Coaching Camps, Mrs. Suneetha Wijesuriya handed over few chess hand books and chess sets to Mrs.
