Munasinghe Twin Brothers performances are creditable to Sri Lanka Both Shanaka Munasinghe and Lahiru Munasinghe Sri Lankan twin brothers finished with 6.5 and 6 points and won the 2nd and 3rd places respectively after the 8th round at Super Kids Age Group Chess Tournament ( under 15 ) conducted by Sri Sirinivasan Sports Academy in Triplicane, Chennai, India. K.Karthian of India won the championship of this age group and received the championship trophy from the Sri Lankan Chess Olympiad Gold Medalis, Mrs. Suneetha Wijesuriya, President of the Lanka Chess Foundation and the Anatoly Karpov Chess Club of the Russian Centre in Colombo at the Award Ceremony held at the main hall of Jain Vidyalaya, Triplican at 4pm. While Yasantha Jayaweera got the 8th place by collecting 5 points and S.Hafeel and Pasan Meuranga Thenabadu finished with 3.5 and 3 points respectively. Tharindu Withanage collected 5 points out of 8 possible and received a trophy as the 9th place. Senith Suriyaaraarachchi collected 4.5 points and Yoshitha Atukorale got 4 points in under 10 category.
